This is a great moment for all of us to be proud. ISRO launched India's first unmanned mission to moon at the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Shriharikota by the Indian PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle). Despite having my internals today, i woke up at 6:20 A.M. and watched the launch, it was superb, it just felt amazing, to see the Indian flag on the vehicle soar high in the skies.
But, the thing i didn't like was the media, the last time when ISRO launched a series of satellites ans set a world record, every news channel was busy covering the Sreesanth case. I can't understand why people of the country ignore technology so much (i'm saying people, because media shows only what people want). A issue like cricket controversy is given so much priority, despite of having no significance in any advancement to the country. If a guy from the college wins a cricket match, its a round of applause and the hot news everywhere. But if two people win in the Google Summer Of Code 2008, nobody (except a few good people) notices it. If you goto a mall, you see 50 apparel shops, but only few electronic shops. Anyway, its a personal view, and i obviously do not want to hurt anybody in any respect. Anyway, you can get more information at ISRO Chandrayaan 1 Website
. Be proud to be an Indian, we've got what it takes to advance in science. Three cheers to ISRO !!
